Antique two doves Krider & Biddle 1860s Ornate engraved,One of Philadelphias most prominent 19th century silversmiths,Peter L,Krider operated as a sole manufacturer and in several partnerships over his career,This large serving spoon is signed with the crossed K & B hallmark for the Krider & Biddle partnership during the 1860s,The large 6 inch oval,One of Philadelphia's most prominent 19th century silversmiths,Peter L,Krider operated as a sole manufacturer and in several partnerships over his career,This large serving spoon is signed with the "crossed K & B" hallmark for the "Krider & Biddle" partnership during the 1860s,The large 6 inch oval scoop as a flat edge and curved edge,It is engraved with a symmetrical design with no monogram at its center,This could be personalized by an experienced engraver if desired,The 6-inch handle has a plaque at its center and an amazing lovebird finial with two sculptural doves,The 12 1/8 inch long serving piece tested as sterling silver,no hallmark,There is antique patina and expected age wear with fine scratches and tiny nicks or dings to the silver,There are some dings to the flat edge and surface and some loss of definition to engraved design,Please see photos for condition,Overall,this piece is in good vintage condition,Wt: 127 grams,Length: 12 1/8 Inches,Serving oval end: 6 inches x 3 inches,Handle: 6 inches with 1 1/4 wide finial
